Edit edit: Yeah, Uchi/Great Scythe were my jam back in DS1. I had high hopes for the Scythe in DS3 but was let down again coming from DS2. I would say since the damage output of the winblades is so good, I would just worry about not getting hit since a boss's hp will just plummet during punish windows; no need to be greedy elsewhere.
